Chelo Alonso (born Isabel Apolonia García Hernández, on April 10, 1933) she's half Cuban half Mexican, as a dancer she achieved recognition in Cuba for her dancing, becoming a sensation at Cuba's National Theatre in Havana. As an actress she was showcased for her Afro-Cuban inspired dances in 60’s Italian cult film era. Soon after, she emerged as a new exotic dancing talent at the Folies Bergère in Paris where she was billed as the "The New Josephine Baker"
