Ruby Romaine is a fictional character portrayed by Tracey Ullman on her show Tracey Takes On.... The character became so popular, that HBO commissioned a pilot for the character which resulted in the one-off special, Tracey Ullman in the Trailer Tales. Ruby is a self-professed "star maker."
