Loy would have said that she was more than just William Powell's perfect wife in The Great Ziegfeld, but of course, there was no equal room given to Luise Rainer's Anna Held, whose range was showcased in the film wanting more from the audience, even if her impact in film was as an artifact for the studio system who underserved her talent, but after courting, fell into that too. Her anti-racist work is amazing though, and wished it wasn't hard for her to produce a film with those beliefs.
