Sian Phillips was reciting poetry when she was five, acting at eleven, and was a bi-lingual announcer for BBC as a teenager before attending RADA. When she left RADA she had the world at her feet and was offered Hollywood contracts which she turned down to pursue legitimate theatre. A different world then. She was and is a GREAT Actor.
