The final film of legendary actor James Dean follows a ensemble cast as we follow along the life of Texas rancher Jordan "Bick" Benedict (Rock Hudson) and his wife Leslie Lynnton (Elizabeth Taylor) as they and later their growing family make their way in the world. The film earned several Academy Award nominations including Best Actor in a Leading Role for James Dean and Rock Hudson in addition to George Stevens winning Best Director.
In 2005 the film was entered into the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.
